Libertys in nova scotia

so i was recently looking for liberty caps because i heard they grow around here, well i looked all over cow fields in the morning to no avail but once i got home i found some, so i collected samples and i have what i believe may be libs



Habitat: i found these growing near/on a pile of what I'm guessing is cow manure.

Gills: the gills look slightly orangey brown in color

Stem: Whitish, pretty fragile, slightly enlarged at base. around 5mm wide.

Cap: off white to tan, hard to describe, smooth, probably 1 and a half to 2cm in diameter.

Spore print color: when i picked them they were already dry but i added a drop of water and am waiting for results

i can add more pics later if needed

Not liberty caps unfortunately, nothing active. Libertys grow in the grass in pastures, never directly from dung.

Maybe they are growing from grass under the dung or maybe its one of the dung loving species of Conocybe.

i also found what I'm hoping are p subbs, they were growing a couple of feet away from these ones

Seems likely but the pics are too blurry to really see the mushrooms.

All mushrooms with jet black spore prints are edible except for maybe Coprinopsis atramentaria.

so i wont have to worry about getting sick if i ate he wrong kind with that exception? also what kind of a dose would i need for them, like just as hey are he caps how many would i need?

You would need a lot.

Your best bet is hunting those semis! You're in the region for them, all it takes is time put into research and then hunting. In that order.

I think that common dose is around 30 regular sized subb fruitbodies.
