The value for pi used in calculators is 3.141592654. But if we look at the word of God, it states that the ratio of the circumference to the diameter is 30:10 cubits. In other words:

Also known as 3.00 or 3.0. But here we have these self important mathematicians who believe they can improve on the word of God! What an effrontery. Biblical literalists, you are faced, as when with evolution, with an important dilemma if you wish to continue your peace of mind.

You can either accept that the word of God is fallible and men have improved upon it, therefore casting into doubt your claims of Creation.

Or you could hold steadfast to your God-given beliefs. Stand by in the face of scientific persecution and shout loud to the heavens that PI, goddammit, is equal to 3.0 because God said so.

It seems to me their is no debate bible vs science. Debate is a word the theist have been throwing around to lend off some authenticity to their stinky shit. Their is no debate, scientists are not debating weather the PI is 3.00 or 3.141592654, weather the earth is 12,000 years old or 4.5 billion, weather we evolved from a single celled organism or appeared in the snap of a finger. Their is no debate, why do theist/christians keep bringing up this imaginary debate?

The truth is that science continuously offers information and facts that disassemble biblical accuracy, and Christians spend their life trying to spin around their belief and bend them so they some how make sense in the light of science, literal bible translations keep getting re-interpreted for modern knowledge of the universe. It seems their is no debate from bible thumpers, only lists of justifications for incompatible information.

Whatever.  As Chespirito pointed out, the rim was a handbreadth wide.  Furthermore,  scientific accuracy isn't why the Bible was written.  Honestly though I don't know why some people try to prove the truth of the Bible... why would you?  Some Muslims try to prove how true the Quran is... why does it matter?  All you have to do is believe it, not worry over the truth of it.

The sun is truly going to set and rise.  I believe I'll be alive when it happens.  But that isn't true.  It's true that I was alive during the previous sunrise and sunset.  It will be true again if I'm still here the next time it happens.  I believe it, but it isn't true, and yet I'm not being crazy, ignorant or mentally feeble by my belief.  Trying to prove I'll see the next sunset is useless, and trying to prove I won't is equally so.

Your analogy is sound except your premise is false.

We know the sun rises and sets everyday. Everyone see's the sun go up and down everyday, we know the sun exists.
