passing of the torch was the scramble in the 4th when edgar landed in top after penn's takedown

epic

always loved edgar and was one of the few giving him a shot in the first fight - tonight he cemented

and for penn - well he just goes down as one of the 10 best fighters that ever decided to fight - fucking legend

I thought it was boring. That first fight with the fucked up eye was good entertainment though. I liked seeing James Toney as well.

Edgar/Penn wasn't boring, IMO. It did solidify that BJ is slipping and Frankie definitely won.

i watched that fight, and i kinda remember the first one.  I dunno it just doesn't look like penn was even trying, he was standing in the corner prior to the fight, he looked like a fucking zombie.  And he clearly had no game plan at all, if i was prepping for a fast little midget like edgar, my main priority would be slowing him down with a shitload of legkicks so he can't hope around like bugs bunny in the 5th, penn threw like 1 legkick and it was to the head :nonono:  he just didn't look like he cared at all before and after and i kinda got the same impression from the first fight.

I thought the whole event was pretty boring. Nice to see Penn lose again though. I don't know when someone is at the top and never moves it gets a bit stale, and it is always fun to watch a champ run through some other fights to get back the title shot. I hardly look forward to G.S.P. and the Spider fights anymore.
Maybe just compared to 117 this event seemed lackluster. James Toney was a joke.
