Ah yes, Nebraska, the state underwater. We spent 6 hours driving 25 miles an hour and stuck between semi's, it was the perfect storm!  :shitstorm:

You can pretty much live anywhere in Colorado and be fine walking the streets at night, except for maybe [Saudi] Aurora. 5 points is a nice area to live IMO. Cheap rent, less pretentious people, good weed, and great location.

A few fun things to do here: Mushroom Hunting! On a foray yesterday, we found over 30 species of mushrooms, including some edibles such as Boletus, plenty of Russulas, Lactarius deliciosa, puff balls, Coprinus (sp?), and many others.

On the first Friday of every month (not sure if it happens in the winter), there is an art walk down on Santa Fe St. in Denver at night. There are hundreds of people there usually, tons of art galleries, dj's, wine, beer, food, and all that.

Beyond that some of the smaller electronic music parties are wicked, as well as all the festivals around here.

Most people in Boulder are snobby as hell.  All the dbags in one tiny town.

Fuck yeah.  I love this place.  The hood is much better than the barrio.  None of my stereos have been stolen since moving to 5 points.

I don't care much for the People's Republic of Boulder, either.  I don't mind hanging out there for a few hours, but don't wanna live there, way too expensive...I'll be chillin here in Glendale w/lower rent. :tongue2:

So my friend the other day was riding his bike in Boulder. There were no bike lanes on the road, so he rode on the sidewalk. He would call out to let people know he was passing them, and one Boulderite yelled, "Seriously dude? The sidewalk?". ...LOTS of yuppies, wannabe hippies, and pretentious douche bags with holier than thou attitudes, as mentioned above. But there is a lot to do, mountains are extremely close, and the campus is great.

Your buddy got yelled at because you don't ride your bike on the fucking sidewalk.  It's the same as not riding a motorcycle on the sidewalk.  You don't have to be in a bike lane to legally use the road, so stay off the goddamn sidewalk unless you're walking your bike.

Seriously?  The sidewalk?

It's actually illegal to ride a bike on a sidewalk a lot of places.  I am not sure about Boulder, but yea.  I fucking hate when bike riders do not stop at stop signs though or red lights.  They have to obey all traffic control devices and if they don't then they should expect to get run off the rode.
