Fuck that shit.

I'm about to rant here so buckle your seatbelts.

I'm sick to death of companies either outright lying or not providing enough information on their products or deceiving.

I went in on a "free month" of netflix, which is what the card said, but when I subscribed online, I found it was only two weeks...wtf? not that big of a deal but damnit don't lie about it, that's what really makes me mad.

Secondly, I used to use "Barkeeper's Friend" on my stainless steel, including pots and pans. Since it's pretty expensive and comet isn't and does the same thing I decided to try it out. The comet bottle says it cleans stainless steel, so I used it on a skillet, now the skillet is discolored like iridescence and has a white hue also. WTF? I e-mailed comet about it and have yet to receive a reply.

Just now I got a shirt from a website. I bought this same shirt about a month ago, except a different color. The one I just got is longer and skinnier fitting...okay....I e-mailed them so we'l see what happens there.

Corporations are just bullshit...there are some good ones out there, but for the most part they are trying to get as much money as possible, so if that means telling half truths or outright lying, so be it...and of course the government won't do shit....ahhh!!! drives me up a wall

Follow the money trail and a lot of the problems can be explained.

Same with government issues.

Companies are nameless entities just like their customers are, which only become important when data trends signify a loss of profit or consumption.

This fragile house of cards depends on perpetuating cover-ups to hide the fact that the real scenario is the blind leading the blind.

"Companies" - "organizations" - "governments" - "businesses" - "agencies" - "policies" - "nations"

Lots of fancy terms for systemic behavior that we assume is independent of human flaw. Perhaps if we combine our numbers we can diminish the human blueprint! Right-o.

I started a huge shit storm yesterday when I told my psych class that there is no such thing as good and evil, and that people are basically just products of their environment being played out by chemical interactions. It did not go over well and the entire class ascertained that I was fucked up, lol one kid even said "That is fucked up".

Yeah I realize it's all the fault of people, but damn, do you just want to sit back and say "fuck it, let's do nothing because people who are flawed are in charge"? There may not be such a thing as good and evil, but people do have preferences, or are you beyond that?

Its the ideals of capitalism... profit is the one and only goal.

Any time you see a capitalistic organization, it is intrinsic that profit is their only goal and you should expect that.  They will try to get away with whatever they think they can, so the only answer is transparency.

I say corporations of a certain size or larger should be forced to make public their financial information, where is the money coming from and where it is going.  It is the only way to end the corruption.  A corporation is NOT a person, despite how their lawyers might try to claim otherwise. They should not be allowed the right to privacy.

I just did a presentation for a class, and my conclusion to this was what you are talking about. It's called the transparency act in Sweden, they started doing it in 1766!

The point is that people seem to think (and this is something even my psych prof believes unfortunately) that humanity is somehow different and outside of nature. As in saying people do things that are backed behind scientific reasoning not some celestial cosmic battle between good and evil. No one is evil or good, there may be an ethical system for everybody but there is not cross-cultural direct uniform belief within every society that believes exactly the same thing. So if different groups have different norms and taboos then there is no reason to think that one belief is any better or worse, it's all situational.

The kid who said I was fucked up, the last thing he said to me when I approached him after class to tell him I thought it was rude what he said and to better explain my statement was that he thought people who kill people should be killed. I find it very ironic that the same class agreed with me the week before that racism is not something you are born with and so neither should evil or good. It's all relative to your genetics and surroundings.

The funny thing is that the kid who said I'm fucked up had just previously stated a couple minutes earlier that he was a stoner, so I thought maybe he would have done some shrooms that would maybe make it easier for him to grasp it. Oh well.

well, there is good and evil... but in relation to eachother they are not in the same field of battle; if you will... let me explain.


humanity wants to believe they are special blah blah blah, well we are pretty kewl animals, KRIKEY! but we also follow the same rules as anything else... i don't know exactly what they are or how i'd explain what i think about them... except this... good is someting we should strive more maybe a little bit more in our lives. you shouldn't need to balence good with evil... they are sort of a divide, sure, but that doesn't mean they both don't deal with compltely different and seperate things as eachother. some of those "things" might connect but there is no all-encompassing grid or something like that. (acid-heads are looking for the codes as they skim across this) evil is something we shouldn't even look at to begin with... as an option or a path or anythign to do at all.

as far as seeing things clearly; from what one is usually questioning, things can be independent from one another.
