i have never been in my local wal-mart when they didn't have jars. not always wide-mouth 1/2 pints but always canning jars. i was there last week and there were 2 cases of wide-mouth 1/2 pints. if that fails, maybe look in a true value hardware.

i just called true value, all they have is one pint wide mouth jars, i want wide mout qaurt jars for my popcorn, oh well i guess pint will have to suffice

wide mouth quart jars are my next purchase!

i got 2 cases of pints, and prolly won't go back to 1/2 pints. THose are for cakes, fuck that!

So you think bigger jars are better for whole grains? Ive been using 1/2 pints for popcorn, should I switch to larger jars? What are the benefits? thanks man

Only popcorn so far. Umm Ive used different strains, my jars got dried out be/c of heater and I reinjected sterile water and they took off. Now I have some going normally, usually 3-4 days for germination maybe five, and then maybe another week or so for colonization? I'll post back up here when I see the results of my current jars. But, if a quart takes just as long as a half pint, fuck a half pint, we will see though
