It's just too noisy to me. I realize that makes me sound like an old fart, but there's no sense of musical cohesion. I like screaming/growls (if its good) and brutality but I need a little bit of melody to cling to. But I'm not trying to rip on your tastes, it's just not my cup of tea.

i cant stand chicks in a metal band.  its a personal thing

this chick is bad ass though.  shes like GI JANE cool


lol her lows rival some of the mainstream screamers too.. and shes BA live which is a huge plus in a metal band

Well it is pretty much on the far end of the spectrum :tongue: I could see how you could get that out of them, its music on ADD.

As far as grindcore/mathcore type music goes The Number Twelve Looks Like You is by far my favorite :vaped::awecid:

They feel much more musically cohesive imo.

im picky about metal bands myself.  i really only got into screaming because i used to play guitar in a metal band.  we started playing taking back sunday stuff and then covered an atreyu song.

you can only truly decide if you like this kind of music after seeing some live performances.  youll feel the energy going around the room if the band is good.  live performance is what this music is about.

lol dont worry about ripping on music.  everyone here does its awesome :awehigh: :thumbup:

number 12's drummer is so much sharper live.. i couldnt believe how good he was.

like a cat is still one of the coolest metal songs ive ever heard.  their new shit is cool but their older shit is something special.  glory kingdom is one of the highlights of 2008

I donno what LOL means but I like converge quite a bit :vaped: Not a huge fan of the blood brothers but I like a few Dillinger Escape plan songs, the singer is meh for me though. But musically those 3 bands are incredibly talented.

I love the music Converge and DEP make, but it's just so . . . ridiculous.  I absolutely love it. DEP was one of the reasons I went to Warped Tour. (More-so Every Time I Die)

i think its a little bit more complicated than that.. i wouldnt put ETID in the category of grindcore but i dont like doing that anyway

ETID has a song called Organ Grinder that is so fucking awesome.

ETID doesnt write about ripping girls throats out too which is a huge plus..

off topic but BTBAM has the best drummer in metal right now imo

Jon Karel is incredible, you pretty much pinned it, BTBAM's drummer, I think his name is Blake Richardson and Jon Karel are the two best metal drummers I know of..

i used to love bring me the horizon when they had like 1000 friends on myspace but theyre kinda too mainstream now and its only a matter of time before their vocals are clean (not saying mainstream isnt good but it sucks when bands change what theyre doing)

BTBAM is great but sometimes their melodies sound very similar in songs.  there are some tech metal bands that i listen to if i want to get my face melted
