Some people tell me it's one of their favorite cartoons of all time, but for some reason I just don't get it. Now I'm not hating here, I'm simply saying that I don't understand how it is someones favorite cartoon.
Can someone explain it to me?

It's definitely not my favorite, or am i a fanboy of the show so i can't explain that. I do enjoy the comedy, and the character personalities are written perfectly.

its not my favorite, i used to not like it but then i started watching it, and it is ONE OF my favorites now

the new episodes arent the greatest.. kinda understandable.. there is an entirely different writing staff.

i think a new writing staff is what killed the simpsons too. theyve been dead for years.

the first 5 seasons of Futurama was some of the best animated tv out there. shame..

Sometimes its just a silly cartoon, but sometimes the writing is really awesome, and dare i say it, profound.

I also love the satire on our times/society and the frequent nods to nerd-culture.
