Im moving to CO
    #12948428 -

My best friends and I drove down last week with, an Oz of weed, to northern CO from mid IL, 16 hour drive. Signed a lease for a house and now have a super cool landlord. She said she is looking for someone to grow MMJ for personal/caregiver/for a dispensary and I said I would love to take that position. Before we left, being that we were already out of weed, she gave us an 8th of the best cured weed I have ever smoked, for free. From Corn land to the coolest hippie town I have ever seen. My question is, what do I have to do while I live in CO. I don't care what part cause after driving 32 hours in 3 days, every drive seems short. Im talking food, raves, dispensaries, landmarks, festivals, and anywhere I can find those beautiful hippies that I love sooo much. Im 20 years old w/ a drug induced mad life to live. Help me live it... :durrhurr:

p.s. Drove into the mountains, did some rock climbing, found a cave, smoked some weed... Bliss!

Denver is arguably the rave capital of the US. We also have Redrocks natural amphitheater in Morrison, which bring many world class bands and festivals. If you're into camping, backpacking, climbing etc. the rockies are awesome. And some of the coolest people you will meet live in Colorado. All around great state, welcome. Be sure to check out Boulder if you're into hippies.

You need to discover the ski culture.  Believe me, there is nothing else quite like it.  The serenity and beauty of the snowcapped mountains is hard to describe, plus it has the best skiing in the country.  My advise is, stay away from eastern colorado, its the same as kansas.  Flat.  Stay away from colorado springs, its full of religious fanatics, and is probably the most conservative area of the state.  The further west you go, the better it gets.  Just message me if you have any questions.

Yea man west slope Rockies are the best (I live in Gunnison). You get away from the people and more into Colorado's endless mountain expanses. And skiing is the shit, especially high on dank Colorado weed. And the people on the west slope are so chill.

I like Colorado but I still prefer my native New Mexico, especially around Angel Fire for skiing. But more awesome is Sierra Blanca, 100 miles north of the mexican border, and at 11000 feet in early april you can ski in a T-shirt and shorts.

I've just recently moved up to CO myself.. It's really not too bad.. pretty chill to be honest.  I'm between Boulder and Denver and I can't say I have too may complaints about the area.

Even though I didn't move up here and just fall into such a lucky situation like yourself.. CO still has it's perks..  :jah:  :lsdabc:  :jah:

I lived in Phoenix for a while.. They have their raves.. but I was never too keen on desert heat while rolling..  Just Sayin..

I'm not claiming "rave capital"  but in my short time here.. I have been fortunate enough to come across more than a few..

I used to hit outdoor desert raves outside of phoenix all the time. believe it or not the issue is that it gets too cold, not too hot. they have to build fires everywhere. the desert doesnt really feel that hot compared to places like the gulf coast

There is at least one if not two or three different secret raves occurring every single friday and every single saturday in phoenix

I guess I could see that... i was only in Phoenix for about 8 months.  Midwest Native, even through the AZ winter I was sweating balls while the natives could be wearing hoodies.. *shrug*

Colorado sure is beautiful though..  AZ was nice, but just not my style.  I'll actually be visiting AZ a couple times a year.  They definitely know how to party down there, but at the same time, it doesn't take much to encounter an officer of the law..  Or so my 8 month stay showed me.

CO MMJ FTW!
CO has seasons FTW!
CO skiing FTW!
CO Boulder Hippies FTW! ... (sometimes an admit able fail..)

As far as things one must see.. I have heard...

Eulich's is some big amusement park people seem to enjoy..
Dave Co Liquor is the king of all liquor stores out here..

And my personal favorite thing about living in this area.. *drum roll*

THE GREAT AMERICAN BEERFEST!!!

... So as you can see, i really don't know much about the area.. you find anything badass out here aside from camping/hiking yet StayPuff?

I live in the Denver area, LOVE Colorado! :feelsgoodman:

Now I'm not into electronica, but it isn't that pervasive as far as the music scene.

A few things I would suggest, DEFINITELY go to a show at Red Rocks!  The acoustics are awesome.  As far as sound quality & location, it doesn't get much better than Red Rocks!  Also, the Gunnison/Montrose/Telluride area is top-notch...beautiful land, very nice & open people.

I moved out to Denver last fall for school... i loved CO.

The Mountains rocked, the music scene thrived, and there were always things to do...

I had to move back for a short while, but at getting ready to head back this winter (Just in time for ski season )

I'm not so sure about denver tho...  i mean, i DO like having alot of activities close by, but i dont't prefer living in  a big city..

I would like to be able to walk down my road at night and feel safe...

SO...

Where do you guys suggest living?  I'm thinking about living in a resort town, to be close to the ski..

Which ski town has the most going on?  Breckenridge?

If not, ill prolly get a place in Boulder...

Also, does anyone know if you can get mmj if you live in a ski town, rather than Denver or Boulder?

Thanks guys...

Enjoy Co StayPuff... it rocks... go to Red Rocks for SURE... AND get the epic ski pass!
