Is it illegal to buy or ship Tampanensis Truffels to the UK?

I've seen a few sites that openly ship to the uk using main stream couriers apparently without any issues.

Anyone one know what the situation is? are you likley to get into trouble for buying them??

I doubt it's legal. Whether you'll have trouble, I don't know.

But why find out? Just grow your own.

Yea i'm thinking about doing that!

I was just suprised that they sell them with Shipping to the UK.
VIA DHL , UPS etc and you just pay the courier when they arrive.

I wouldn't have thought UPS and DHL would allow that if its illegal????

Grow your own is they way forward.

It is illegal to purchase anything containing Psilocybin in UK.  Not worth the trouble when you can grow your own.

Yea I guess so,

I would be ordering from outside the uk and shipped here.

I just thought because they were advertising shipping to the UK
without apparently no previous custom problems that it was
maybe legal

Like in Amsterdam Mushrooms are illegal but truffels arn't

I just wondered if anyone else had done it before

So can you still sit in field eating mushrooms in the uk without any problems?

I'm still unsure why sellers in Holland would ship truffels to uk on a basis of cash on delivery via a courier if they were likley to stopped by customs first.

People routinely order illegal items from China, but I imagine an Amsterdam return addy invokes special interest at the Customs office.

It would maybe work, but you shouldn't be surprised if you receive an empty package and a seizure notice from HM Revenue & Customs.

Liberty cap season starts in around 2 months - I wouldn't go 'sitting in the field' but you could harvest some discreetly and get out again before anyone notices or cares what you are doing.

You should also be aware that if you are caught by police with any psilocybin mushrooms you will be charged with possession of a Class A drug.

You can buy spores no trouble.  You can also buy caapi, psychotria viridis, san pedro and mhrb all legally in UK.

This is the current UK law on magic mushrooms, basically anything containing psilocin or psilocybin is illegal to grow/import/possess e.t.c -

Thus, as of 18th July 2005, it is an offence to import, export, produce, supply, possess or possess with intent to supply magic mushrooms whatever form they are in, whether prepared or fresh.

Legally speaking, you can't sit in a field and eat magic mushrooms because once you pick them you are in possession of a class A drug. If mushrooms grow naturally on your land, it doesn't count as possession for them to be growing there, but as soon as you pick them out of the ground you are breaking the law. So eat them up real quick to get rid of the evidence!

The truffels did arrive without any problems at all.

Basically a courier delivers them to your door and you pay for the goods there and then.

I'm not sure I will do it again though after reading all these posts.

Sounds like its illegal and not worth the risk.

UPS must know what their doing though?

They know how to courier packages and they courier packages with little interest in the contents.

I am sure that dogs will not pick up the scent of psilocybin...heroin, cocaine and mj are the only things that customs are really after.  Still it is an unnecessary risk in case something did go wrong.

It really doesn't sound like the safest thing to do.

I was suprised that a company in the netherlands advertises shipping to te UK without any problems and using UPS of all things,

I received these truffels and they were v good / strong.
me and a friend had 10g each lasted 6/ 7 hours plus.

I don't know if I agree that it's very dangerous. An Acquaintance in Ireland has successfully ordered truffles from Amsterdam on several occasion. Quality was reported to be excellent and value likewise.

If you were considering ordering, do not use any form of payment traceable; post cash or use western union. Consider using false name at correct address and not applying for postage whereby you have to sign to accept package.

As far as I understand, seizure of illegal goods posted to your home results in customs sending a letter to your home asking you to report to them and claim your items. Obviously, you do not claim them and thus do not accept ownership of the items.
You can't be prosecuted for having something illegal posted to your address, as otherwise this would be a fantastic way to sabotage your enemies!

But to answer your question. Yes it's completely illegal. Possession carries heavy penalties. Whether or not you're likely to be caught is debatable.  If one was considering ordering large quatities for resale I'm sure the risk of detection and subsequent penalties is for more steep.

Oh,

I knew someone who got some too from over there , but they werent any good at all .

It would great to learn if there were any reputable sources there, if you have any names .
