Although our 'little friend' is phototropic, light is not important in growing..Your lights will work fine, a couple hours a day is plenty

I dunno...

I light mine with a blacklight as i read in one of the shroomery casing guides that light on the blue end of the spectrum initiates pinning...i dunno how well it worked...but i got a nice flush...

this is infact the ideal light in which to use for mushrooms. Red and green lights (at certain levels) are completly ineffective in inducing primordia. So shine that blue light away and know that you are using the best possible light that you can

I would reccomend the use of a blue light,
HOWEVER, I would suggest that you steer away from using blacklight or UV light, the UV rays are going to degrade the potency according to some people discussing why natural mushrooms are weaker, UV light is one of those reasons.
