"The Sky is falling! Because of... because of... him!"

So, I receive a miss call from some number in Portland. I call them back only to be randomly pulled in by some campaign organization that is trying to "impeach Obama" (presumably to save the world from charisma). Regardless to what extent you think he is a good or bad president, or your opinions about the role of government, I still think it is tirelessly silly and immature to think that power is centralized in one person. More so, I think this phone call is sad in the same way that I actually have compassion and remorse for the simpletons who march around holding signs saying queers are going to hell in a hand-basket. What a miserable life to channel your frustration through some isolated event, behavior, or individual -- the common denominator in these cases, of course, is not the object of their hatred, it's their own pitiful unhappiness with the "world".

It's a big ol' circus of systemic and chaotic activity that runs this elusive show. It's not the Jews, the Masons, the Reptilians, Hollywood, the Billionaire club, or Obama. It may be an elaborate display of talking heads, replete with fabricated numbers and statistics, and demographics, and colors, and taxes, and televised meetings... but there is more than meets the eye (preaching to the choir here, I know), so don't give your sense of worth away to bitching about the president. That's so 1789.

i think we all should just get high and forget about who's ruling the world. Like Terrence McKenna said, managing the entire world would be such a hugely stressful and difficult undertaking that nobody would be able to handle it.

I got into a debate with someone awhile back about something, and all this girl had to contribute was "FUCK OBAMA"...

I was like "ummmm, I think it's a wee bit more complex than that.. but whatever helps your fragile mind cope, I suppose." :rolleyes:

Just as owning a particular ideology is comforting as an explanatory model for what happens in the world, having an entity to point the blaming finger at makes it easier to explain complex problems, and also makes a solution seem more imminent.
