Florida Hunters- Is anything still out there?

Well, it is awfully late in the season and temps have been pretty low with a couple hard freezes in my area of Central Florida. Think I-4 Corridor.
The question: Can there be any Cubensis or Copelandia surviving in the pastures?
The RH is 35% today...maybe I'm just insane.

Havn't even attemped a hunt.  Its been record cold here with no obvious signs of shrooms :frown:

You can find them year around in Florida if they get the right conditions..  meaning rain, humidity (usually enough right after it rains) and temperature.  In the spring in Florida it's usually drout like conditions so that's why they say you won't find them until summer.  Winter can yield a few though, so can fall.  Your best bet won't come until early June though when the thunderstorms start hittin. 

I used to live in Tampa.  How about those Bucs?  :smile:

Yet another floridian here, here. whats up people. yeah myself was thinking about going out for a possible hunt to show some good friends shroom newbies how its done. but the damn cold. well guess i will have to wait. i know it will be worth it though. well peace out. lol those damn Bucs surpised everyone huh.

there isn,t shit out there man I just drove from pensicola to the everglades by naples. I only found 1 cubensis... But there were a lot of the russula poping every were under the leaves at the edge of the forest were the water table made the terds wet I was freeked out wandering the jungle at night.. I saw mycelium every were but lota warm wether is needed.. peace give it 2,3,maybe 5 weeks I guess???

Usually the Copelands come out first, then Cubies. That has been my experience.

what do the copelands look like an are they stronger are weaker. i have my spot in fl. that i hunt in where there is definately more then just cubs. it would be cool to get a variety next time i go.

Copes are stronger. There is a table out there on the net showing psylocin and psylocbin content per species.
