So which of thos two herbs produces a better (euphoric so to say) high? St. Johns wort or valerian root?

neither... but valerian does a decent job at reducing anxiety in my experience

If you meaning by route of smoking, don't even bother dirtying your lungs. The highs aren't really worth it, IMO. If you feel anything, it'll be so minimal you won't be able tell whether or not it's a placebo.

valerian root = herbal valium

st johns = herbal anti depressant


just smoke weed.......if you cant sleep, or are feeling down, then turn to your herbal friends.
