Poetry with a Modern Message

I feel like there's a trend in modern rap and poetry which is converging towards a message which has not yet emerged as a succinct slogan in our culture, but which many of us feel the pull towards.

It's something about the future, something about The Problem humanity now faces (though perhaps has not yet faced up to).
Something about spirituality, something about anarchy, something about community, and everything to do with self-empowerment.
It's in many ways parallel to what many here might call the "psychedelic insights," and I think it shares a common origin.
The bottom line is, I think there's a force moving in the mass unconscious, has been for some decades, and it grows closer to the surface every month.

Someone once said that artists are the antennae of the species. Well, this is what they're picking up.
If you know what I'm talking about, you know what I'm talking about, and you don't need any examples because you've caught the same vibe.

Do you feel it?
Do you have anything to say about it?
Do you know what it is?
All I know is that it feels right, and I want more.

Although not as direct as Saul Williams, i think Anise's poetry largely deals with the absurdity of modern life.
