Removal of contaminated cakes

If a cake is contaminated with green mold, and is removed from the fruiting chamber immediately upon being found, what steps can be taken to protect the remaining cakes in that chamber from suffering the same fate?

Green mold normally sporulates air born spores, that means they can travel anywhere inside your growing area.
In your case, it would be very important to know the growing stage of the mold, so perhaps you should try to decribe a little better that aspect.
Try spraying a good amount of h2o2/h2o solution inside the growing area. As last solution, you should try taking your cakes outside your terrarium and clean the whole thing with bleach and water.

In this particular instance, the mold showed up overnight and had grown to a patch approximately the size of a quarter. It had not been noticed the night before, but it seems unlikely that it grew that quickly, so it must have just been missed. At the point when it was removed from the terrarium, the mold on the cake was kind of green and fuzzy. It grew on a cake that had been birthed a bit early, and therefore had a small spot of substrate exposed to the air.

The suggestion about the H202 and water is appreciated.
