Shroomerites - Help me figure out how to get to haiti!!!

So, I think I'd like to go to Haiti to volunteer. I have been considering this for a while. I've been looking but am having a hard time finding volunteer organizations. I've found a few of the larger ones, but they all expect people to take care of their own travel and everything. I'm not some rich middle aged couple looking to go volunteer in haiti during my vacation. I'm a fresh out of college student who is willing to go spend an undetermined amount of time in Haiti. I think its more of my duty to go, I'm in a position to be able to, I'm a strong and able worker, I know basic construction and will quickly learn any techniques they may be doing. its my duty as a man to go spend my summer or a good portion thereof helping my fellow man so he can have a roof over his family and a safe place for them.

So here's where you come in:
I am looking for a group to get with that is fundraising to offset expenses. Unfortunately, other than scrolling through pages and pages of google, I don't even know where to look. Maybe your google search string will have better luck than mine? preferably somewhere local to central FL but I'm not afraid to travel.

I have a boat that I can make crossings with. but IDK if I want to take it to Haiti, I mean, where do I dock and know its safe?
