I am in a very different reality than everyone else!!

Sometiems I don't know how to deal with it. I mean, my interests, my enjoyments, my thinking is all just so different than most peoples. For this reason, I often get other people mad at me, frustrated at me, made fun of and I feel so lonely. The only thing I seem to have is on my shroomery friends and ICQ friends. I am not saying there is anything wrong with them as friends. However it is the people that I see on a daily bases that drive me crazy. Any tips my shroomerite brothers!

sounds like your in a bad area, meaning surounded by bad people who are influenced too much by society. It makes them unbearable to be around. Go out and explore and make some new friends, thats what life's about.

Hell i'm going to move to Canada next year just to get away from everyone in my area. Hopefully going to meet some new good people along with some that i already know.

Yeah, your not the only one man. Alot of people are narrow minded and just feel more comfortable critisizing than making an effort to accept other...IMO....I have only 1-2 friends myself....the rest are just extras........*thinks*......I just made a new one!!....*Ahem*........ Most people are like extras in a movie, you need them, but theyre not important.....

If it makes you feel any better, I've heard that I'm not like most people....its almost serreal (sp) actually, but hey just remember that you don't have to be like everyone else, all you need to be is you, just be the person that you are and eventually you will find the people that think like you....I think that most of us have been in your situation :smile:

How old are you???  I think it'll give people a good base about where you're comin from.  Someone saying what you're sayin at 18 or 20 is a lot different than someone at 26... :smile:

I don't know about any tips that would work for you EarthDroid, 'cept maybe trying to inhabit multiple worlds/worldviews with an equal degree of success. You'll always be lonely and left out if it makes you feel "special" or "different" ... I used to have that problem (barely) but trained myself to become "all things to all men" as the apostle Paul said. And it works. And I am never alone.

Sorry you have to live in Saskatchewan, my fine fellow. Did I ever tell you that I think I've met you? Were you at the Connect Festival outside of Regina last August?

I was born in Saskatoon and have family there. I'm going to visit them some time this year for about a month so i would definitly be cool with meeting up with some Saskatoon Shroomies to hang out with. Last i remember (5 years ago) Saskatoon isn't really to large of a city so i don't think we'll have much problem meeting up.

Moving wise, my family is looking more towards somewhere in Ontario, near Toronto. A lot of Shroomerites in Ontario, i know that, can't wait to meet some of them when we gather at the park this year.
