I agree that he's a good dad to these kids, we talk on AIM frequently so I know how hard he's trying.  Especially after their mother chose heroin over her own kids all they have is their dad now.  Just stay clean and don't give up on them.

sorry i just read the first post and dont really know your history... Just sounded like a young couple who gave up on their kids because of drugs, didnt realize you were still involved.

But this story happens all too often. My close friend is a foster child due to alcoholic and drug abusing parents(shooting up and drinking bottles of vodka a day). So thats just how i read it, didnt mean to be misinformed.
