cleaning out bubbler/taking it on plane

How about being smart enough to leave it at home. Is it really worth the risk of some drug dog or baggage screener ruining your day?

Or just clean it well and take it with you... it's not illegal to have a bubbler to smoke your tobacco with.

i wouldn't put it in checked baggage. when they scan your stuff and notice a long tube they will pretty much have to check it out. not many people carry vases in their luggage so there are only a few things it could be. 

once they dig through your stuff, they'll almost certainly give you a paraphernalia charge and possibly trafficking. even a small trace of resin or a positive ID by a dog will be enough. unless it's brand new, you aren't going to get away with the "it's for tobacco" excuse. you just can't get it clean enough.

get some alcohol warm the pipe clean it with warm (almost boiling) alcohol 4 times
this if done right will clean it so that a drug dog can't smell it then wipe the prints off
wear gloves to package it then mail it
or
go greyhound and tack it with you

I got searched by a dog who could not find my clean but used pipes
expired insurance was propalbe cause for a drug dog search (welcome to police state USA)

dude, clean it and mail it to yourself..... use fedex or something. at least it won't fuck up your travel plans if they try to delay it for whatever reason.

Clean it realll good with the iso, then get some tobbaco and smoke a few bowls of that through your pipe. I think that will do the trick.

Rubbing alcohol and salt my friend.  Shake that thing like hell in a bag til all resin comes off, do it a few more times to make sure there's no resin molecules on there and mail it to yourself.  I've done this several times.

i flew from hawaii to charlotte NC with a packed bowl in my carry on.  that's 2 layovers, oakland and phoenix, before getting there.  i realized it about halfway from hilo to oakland.  i was shitting a brick but we drank profusely on the flight to phoenix and that softened my nerves enough. 

turns out the night i had packed my shit to come home, i was cleaning out my little hut and smoking a bowl in this glass piece i had, must have just shoved it into my camera pack.  i had taken maybe 2 hits off this bowl, so there was still some green stuff left, it was pretty stinky.
