Salt peter does not suppress sexual urges or make it any harder for you to get it up. If anything she is trying to poison you. It can kill you in large doses.

It is mainly used to preserve food or to make homemade ice cream.

The ridiculous urban legend that it is put into troops food to keep them from popping boners is a complete myth. Being around males only and exhausting recruits throughout the day training would defiantly cause the normal male to be to tired to have the motivation to pop a boner randomly.
