Any automotive honda people?

So I have this here 1991 Honda Accord LX coupe and some questions, anyone knowledgeable in the world of F22a1's?

I have a few actually.

First off from what ive seen (Though its hard to find youtube videos of straight up stock vehicles) mine sounds very different then most accord LX's. Only way I can put it is that it sounds more raw.

Ill be making a video of that tommorow, ill post it here.

Second, its.. leaking oil through the top of the engine block, and it bogs from 2k to .9k rpm when I release the throttle in 2nd gear. Feels and sounds baaad.

its got 200,000 miles on it, so its old. But it drives fucking nice and I want to keep it going. Even have the urge to build it a bit haha, but I dunno about that.

Well the sound problem more than likely for the amount of miles and how old it is, is going to be an exhaust leak. That would be the first thing to check. Mine had a bad exhaust leak and sounded like that as well. Got under the car and welded it back up.

Sounds like you may have a blown headgasket/warped head. Check for water in oil, oil in water, check for water coming out of the tailpipe. Let me know the results from all of this :thumbup:

Also what part of the engine block does it look like it's leaking? Could also check the valve cover gasket. That's a more simple problem...WAY more simple actually.

facing the engine, its coming from the right from underneath that bolt. The bolt isn't loose though, so Im not sure whats happening.

do you have excessive oil/coolant consumption? and is the poor performance only in second gear?

1st and 2nd, in 1st gear its utterly ridiculous, I try to get out of it as fast as I can lol.
In 3rd+ it runs fine.

I had to replaced the radiator not long ago, however I still occasionally smell coolant if I drive a bit too hard.

Anyway must be going, glad to know people here may be able to help, ill make a video tomorrow showcasing each problem, hopefully its all easily fixed!

have you checked to see if your coolant is full? (its kinda typical for a coolant repair to have residual burning smell afterwards)

do you seen excessive blue or white smoke after the vehicle warms up in the morning?

Coolant is doing pretty fine, its not lowering rapidly or anything.
