Re: How fine the brown rice

This is directly from PF:

"To make homemade brown rice powder, place some regular brown rice in a small canister type coffee bean grinder and grind it to fine powder. Freshly ground brown rice is recommended over prepackaged type. The freshness sometimes makes a big difference."

Grind it, grind it, grind it...

It sounds like you are fine. The brown rice flour should look like sand. It does not have to actully look like flour that would be pretty hard to do. If you have a clump of rice it should not be a big deal. I don't see any reason why you can't store your extra rice until you are ready to grow again. Good Luck!

if possible, store the flour in the refrigrator, when I brought my brown rice (from some chinese health food store) it was in a refrigirator and she said its good to keep it in there to keep it fresh, but because I need to hide it I need to keep it out in room temp...

I grind my brown rice fairly coursly, it usually winds up the same size as the very fine verm that i use (about 1mm or so). I buy 10#'s at a time and store the extra whole in quart mason jars until I need to grind more.
