Then they should at least make a national license that doesn't require you to go into every state you fish at and by a license, I fish about 4 different states because I'm basically right on the border of all of them and out of state licenses run $50+...too much money to be paying just to catch and release.

why not catch and donate, write the license and the fish off as
charitable contribution, find restaurants in the area to sell the
fish to, many are in the market for fresh fish, each of these will
offset that cost in some manner, one pads your pocket, the other
helps people that need it, both will rub the obama administration
the wrong way

That catch and donate thing is actually a really, really smart idea.  I betcha homeless kitchens and stuff would take fish.

To highdroponics:  It would be nice if the states in your area could get together and get a sort of 'group rate' like some states do, but fishing licenses should definitely NOT be run at the federal level.  It may be more convenient for you, but will most certainly allow for a much greater clusterfuck of natural resource management.  Anything that CAN be kept to state or local regulation SHOULD. 

Having the feds run fishing for the whole country would be disastrous.

Yeah you're right. I just wanna be able to fish without being hassled. I don't keep anything I catch so I fee as though I should only be paying for upkeep of the environment. For that I believe I should be able to just walk right into the DNR office and pay them right there and not ever have to worry about them ever again.
