I'd say he's much worse than O'Reilly.  Here's the basic layout of Fox News:

Hannity:  Republican party mouthpiece.  Utterly incapable of thinking outside of Republican talking points.

Glenn Beck:  Unstable conspiratorial nutjob mouthing violent, fear-mongering rhetoric.

O'Reilly:  Pompous asshole with a short temper, but occasionally surprises you by deviating from the party line.

That's absolutely true. I saw O'Reilly take it easy on Dawkins. Though I think that had something to do with fear as well. I mean with that guy that PWNED him on drugs, he FREAKS. But now and then, I've actually seen a somewhat decent interview where he actually waits to speak and allows someone else to spit out their opinion.

Confused the SHIT out of my the first time I saw it. I HONESTLY thought he was medicated. No shit.

done in most of the bills in congress, I mention riders quite
frequently, if they cant pass something on it's own merit, the butcher
it and pass it over time in various other bills, sometimes they pass a

I honestly believe I could carry out a pretty good discussion on what makes Glenn Beck an idiot without even touching on political view points, or at least any specific points. I never knew until a few weeks ago but Glenn Beck makes an obscene amount of money.
$10 million a year on his radio contract alone.

Not that this has anything to do with him as a person or political mind, I was just astonished to learn he makes so much.

You don't understand Canada IMHO.  We have plenty of stupid drug laws, I agree. But we scored a major victory. They dropped the increased growing charges. Show me an American state where you can get away with growing even half that amount? And before that bill passed our drugs laws we're far more lenient. And they still are....

Harsh penalties (On especially repeat offenders doesn't make me a Conservative. I'm balanced in some ways)
But I'll post my score from the political axis quiz. Which claims I'm a left Libertarian. Which makes sense to me.
I want some government spending. I'm all for EI, Welfare(with limits and better rules!) Healthcare, which BTW, is fucking great :grin:

It WAS SCUMMY because former judges and prosecutors on the left and right, lawyers, all sorts of groups connected with law rejected the idea and decried it. And it went down in flames. So the Liberals are in an exploitable spot, having recently lost much of their popularity(FYI, I'm not a supporter of the "Liberal" RE:Center Right (on countless issues) corporatists) So the Conservatives this time introduce this bill coupled with violent crime legislation. Now I take issue with the Liberals not articulating a case. And they should have stood up to this.

But they acted like pussies, and the Conservatives acted like scummy snakes. If you don't understand that I doubt you understand how a MINORITY government works either. Canada is actually quite different in the way it functions politically. Much of which I like. But I'd love to have a REAL referendum system. Ours SUCKS.


I'd say a test with many questions is a better judge than your quick assement based on the fact I think repeat(and harsh) sex offenders should get more punishment. That's really quite a centrist position in Canada. Compared to many other western nations, we don't have nearly as harsh penalties related to such crimes.

Tightening them up a little hardly makes me an extreme conservative. :tongue:
