If shit like this continues to happen and happen more and
more often then I think people should look at this 2012 thing
seriously. We do know that we will get hit with a potentially
gigantic solar storm that could knock out our satellites for
months. Shit seems to be goin down.

Actually, the mayan end prophecies do illustrate this sort of thing (well nothing about
the technology busting up :wink: )  but the end of the world by insane weather is pretty
much spelled out in the mayan version of "Revelations"  complete with neato illustrations
of torrents of water and dragons falling from the sky crushing the earth, and a big
volcano erupting.

Many scientists have stated this as well as the all popular
Michio Kaku on many different news sources. Do you not think
it could happen?? There was a solar storm so powerful sometime
in the 1800s that many people found they could read a newspaper
at night. WHat do you think that shit would do to us now that
we depend so much on electricity??

It was a really strong earthquake, but it wasn't that much of a catastrophe as the death count hasn't gone over 200. Sad but not as bad as it could have been.

..........wow, post a fox news clip, brilliant. We've known the destructive power of solar storms for a long time, OMG THE GOV'T RELEASES A STUDY SHOWING HOW POTIENTIAL DANGEROUS A SOLAR STORM CAN BE! so...... this obviously means that a potentially catastrophic solar storm is imminent? where does this logic come from? Solar storms happen, just as meteorites and asteroids happen, I don't wanna sound cliche but its not a matter of if, but when.


you know what is really entertaining tho is watching that tool on FoxNews trying to explain scientifically how a solar storm would happen.

if we were actually hit with a big huge burst of solar energy it would be devastating its getting to the point in our lives where technology is implemented in every facet of our doing. Our satellites would most likely all be destroyed, they would lose tracking., Once GPS  goes down alot of satellites would be disorientated, and go out of sync or fall into earth eventually. It would be a chain reaction, if satellites were to collide, the debris from it would domino into other satellites, and disrupt them, making them lost, and so on and so forth. This will all effect most peoples lives in america, unless your homeless, then its just another day.

Didnt they just simulate a solar event?
