nah, he put out daudi baldrs and hlidskjalf from prison but they were synth only albums conceptual albums. I suppose Belus is a concept album too but it's his first true black metal album since Filosofem in 96ish. he just got out on parole in december or so, and he wasn't allowed instruments in prison save a synth for the past 11+ years. so it's even more amazing he can pick up after at least 11 years and play just was well as he did back then.

i'm digging the fuck out of this album. it's honestly a lot better than I expected and I'm a really harsh critic when it comes to music that I like. I dig it

I wish I could still listen to Black Metal. Its faded over the years. Psychedelics definitely put the nail in the coffin. I hear its great though.

psychedelics made you turn away from black metal??? I find that kind of odd. then again I can't stand the music most people here would recommend for tripping music. i'd rather fry to Burzum or if i'm feeling particularly trippy Opeth. my favorite album to listen to on shrooms years ago was Follow the Reaper by Children of Bodom. if anything all the shrooms I've ate made me appreciate all metal more.

I listen to tons of Metal still. I just cannot find the reason for Black Metal anymore. I used to listen to it because as depressing as it was it sounded how I felt.

I can only get into fake Black Metals these days.

Not that I don't still put it on once in awhile, Drudkh owns. I don't think I'd ever want to hear it tripping though.

ok..i finally gave you a 5 rating....first of all you have what i suspect as an early tom waits avatar, secondly, you've posted about good music about 5 times now.so sick of the average and sub par music users on this board post about.either that or they are stuck in the 60s and early seventies shit, which in my opinion, had some good bands , but has long been surpassed by current talent.
