Recommend a 60gb+ Mp3 player

So i finally dropped my second Creative zen hard enough to render the hard drive inoperable, and am now without music.

I am looking for a tough as nails large hard drive mp3 player that'll last me another couple years. Preferably under $250cdn...

Suggestions?

At first glance, the Creative Zen X Fi2 32gb http://us.store.creative.com/ZEN-XFi2-32GB/M/B002NKLRF2.htm

Seems appealing.

just get an i pod classic, I've had mine for years now, its 80 GB and have dropped it hundreds, maybe even thousands of times, and other than a few dents and a lot of scratches its fine, and it works great.

oh, yea, if you wanna use it as a hard drive remember to enable use as disk and you're good!

Ipod. the only alternatives are the craptastic zunes and creative zens

Ipod's are best. That or a boombox on the shoulder and a backpack full of tapes.

iPod Classic all the way. I personally have a 160GB and it was a great 300$ investment, I'm not sure how much they are now.

I love my zune, never had a problem and the screen is bigger than an Ipod. plus its 3 years old and running strong

Everyone wants to fuck around and go off the beaten path.. Why? No other mp3 is comparable.. GET AN IPOD.

I've dropped mine hundreds of times concrete.. and its Fine...

BTW... Does anyone know if a 200-300gb mp3 player exists? Will apple release one soon?

160gb is the largest ever made for iPod. Unfortunately the 160gb has been discontinued... I made it in time to get my 160gb :discorex:


The largest Apple now offers is the 120GB.

Expensive, no FLAC support, need to use iTunes and you have to deal with fuckhead Apple employees when they break.

I agree with this man. Apple is a terrible company, and all of you who own Ipods are fucking conformists.

I own a Cowon D2+. Best choice I ever made. The only problem is the 16gb drive limit. However, it has an expandable SD slot. I don't find I need it, not often. However for parties it allows a range of different style's.

Check this thread out for some info.

Also the Anything But iPod website comes to mind...

I got a 30 gig zune (brand new) for under $100 a few years back. its still kickin'

I am very surprised at all the ipod supporters.

Doesn't i-tunes block illegally ripped music?

I do not buy mp3's and would hate to start having issues because i switched brands...

itunes doesn't block anything afaik.  you can get a 160GB ipod for around $200, which is believe is the largest capacity mp3 player on the market.  plays video too.

I love my 80gb 5.5g iPod Video. You can get em pretty cheap on ebay. I add songs using foobar so I don't have to deal with that headache iTunes. Works wonders, although I need more space.
