And there isn't really a thread dedicated to festies. So, perhaps this can be it. Any fests you plan on attending, like or dislike the lineups, talk about the crowds at different fests, anything festival related should be talked about here. I'm hoping to attend Wakarusa this year, but it looks like I may be going to Summercamp instead. I gotta see Umphrey's at a fest, as I never have before, and Waka has a super awesome lineup. Discuss.

The only music festivals I've been to were electronic, Ultra and shit like that.
Wanee will be my first band festival. I'm pumped.

I am sooo stoked for the "festival" season, we've had some warmer weather this week and it reminded me that it's just around the corner...

Most of the events i attend are around northern California, and what we call "Camp outs"...Call it what you want, festival, gathering, camp out, all the same i suppose.

They are relatively smaller gatherings, in the neighborhood of 200-1500 people. And typically go down at the end of some random cutty dirt road in the mountains, for 3-4 days, music only really stops between about 8am-11am if at all....Dubstep, Psy-trance, glitch, jungle, some house & electro along with other stuff thrown in here and there..Quite a broad spectrum of EDM/IDM...

The one camp out i'm looking forward to the most this summer is "Stilldream". This is going to be the 10th year. I attended last years and it was absolutely epic...Awesome line up, nice location, cool people, super thick good vibes all around, everyone was getting wild, sound system was dialed in oh so nicely...everything was just :awesome:

Other than Stilldream, there are about 3-5 other camp outs i'm hoping to attend all around nor-cal....

I think I'm gonna travel a bit again this summer.

Last year was non stop. Weekend after weekend. I had an amazing time. Looks like my job will be time permitting again so I'm off to see bigger and better bands, and smaller and shittier ones in the mix :smile:

check out the regional burning man events (and of course the actual burn). they are usually a fun mix of hippies and ravers that know a good time

I'll probably be going to the Ledges for Gratefulfest, Summerdance, maybe Waterfest/Midwest Reggae Fest. And then hopefully All Good, Wakarusa, and maybe that one that's in Maine if some people really want to drive that far...

im really looking forward to the 2010 oregon country fair.

Its one of the coolest things ive ever experienced.

the fair is ok, but the real cool thing is the campgrounds.
