This is interesting to me. I've read the books but each time there is someone claiming that a lot of the info is BS.:shrug:
But I have always been curious to know this too.
So you think that they still shroom once in a while?

fist of all, the dead have always had one of the most outrageous backstage areas of anyrock band. so much so it became too big for even the band so there was in essesnce a backstage, then the bands back stage

its widly known that throughout the bands carrier there was a varitable pot luck of drugs of varying flavors. people want there shit to be eaten by them...that got overwhelming fast as you can imagine. bobby hit a crazy health streak there in the 80-90s and was not doign any drugs
however its [pretty damn clear he started doing them again after jerrys passing. if you have followed ratdog at all you should be aware of this.
bobby seemed like he got way into painkillers. OC was the rumer. now im not saying i know

but i do


jerry also said in an interveiw that the band still ate mushrooms from time to time for spiritual and creative purpouses. mushrooms are alot shorter acting. alot easier to deal with, and you get alot more out of them...at leased form my stand point. they can help you play music, they can help you see underlying problems in yourself and your many associates. i think it would be plaibn foolish to not say that mushrooms have been a part of the grateful dead for years and years. sure they maybe took a backseat for awhile. but i would bet they are still taking the medicine when they feel moved
