Its hard to pick a favorite, it used to be progressive trance and funk, but I don't really listen to trance anymore so its probably dubstep and jamtronica now.  If its funky though and loud, I'll gladly dance my ass off to it.  I personally enjoy dancing around thousands of other people more than I enjoy sex.  Though to be fair I'd probably enjoy a 10,000 person orgy over dancing.

four tet

Dan Deacon

The Chemical Brothers (One of the BEST SONGS EVER!!!imo)

These are just my favorites for dancing right now.  I don't really know much about the genres of electronic dance music but I know what I like when I hear it.

Never really thought of Four Tet as dance music though.

Electronic music is, by definition, made for dancing.  I can't imagine trying to dance to the Grateful Dead or some similar band.  Acoustic guitars, cheesy singing, soft rock just doesn't do it for me.

Grateful Dead has some pretty funky music, its not the same as dancing to EDM, but its still fun.

My body I will give to pleasures,
to diversions that I’ve dreamed of,
to the most daring erotic desires,
to the lustful impulses of my blood, without
any fear at all, for whenever I will—
and I will have the will, strengthened
as I’ll be with contemplation and study—
at the crucial moments I’ll recover
my spirit as was before: ascetic.”
