Datura
    #11969900 -

Im a pretty spiritual person. in my beliefs, plants are teachers of the worlds. they possibly hold spirits, who knows for sure. But I have a datura plant. I do love the thing, i would never eat it or anything of that nature and i do respect the plant.  But, do you think I possibly released some kind of spirit or demon in my house from having this here?

Check out my thread from last night.

http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/11966395#11966395

I know theres something following me, some kind of shadow or demon. I dont know, but i know its there.  Could this be the cause from the datura plant? It the only plant i have in the house as of right now.  i never had any of this stuff going on like this since i got this plant. also, i heard people do say that this plant is straight from hell. maybe some kind of tool for satan, i dont know..

i just want the negative energy gone. how do i do that? because i know there alot of negative energy here with me.

You just feel like someone is following you, nothing to do with the plant. Sounds kindof like paranoia, have you consumed any stimulants recently? They can cause feelings like this. In your last post, you jumped very easily from seeing shadows on a mirror to believing in "demons" being present in your house. I would never assume shadows = "demons"

Michael Harner talks about the use of Datura in his Shamanic initiation in the first or second chapter of The Way of the Shaman. You ever read that?

The plant evoked a demon which he was forced to confront. Do you invest any belief in helping spirits, such as power animals, you can call upon?

Just having a plant in your house wouldn't be enough to evoke a demon I'd say, although inhaling the fragrance emitted by it while sleeping can certainly induce strange dreams and nightmares.  Do some ritual banishings to clear your mind and space and you'll be fine.

Don't some people mix datura into ayahuasca? Bruce Parry had such a drink in his Amazon series :mushroom2:

Ghosts are more my gf's thing anyways. I try to be the rational one. If it's any consolation she had a dream about someone sucking on her thigh one morning and three hickies appeared there. Spooky, cuz it wasn't me, she's not flexible enough, and there was no one else in the apartment. So, I'm paranoid too. Not really about ghosts, but I'm afraid she might have some secret lover climbing in and out the window while I'm taking a shit.

But seriously, I'm sure it's nothing, just chill and stay off the pipe for a while if you think it's necessary. I've had enough paranoia on weed to know what the fear feels like

Yep.

Psychedelics and Anticholinergics

Ah yes, the psychedelic/anticholinergic mix is the territory of the waking dreamer, the Bizarro shaman. As we discussed earlier, the anticholinergic dream space is something no shaman takes lightly; it is a real brush up against (and over) the boundaries of life and death into an alternate space so real you will have no trouble believing it actually exists. Add this experience to the middle of an already raging ayahuasca (DMT) experience, and you can see how crazy the rainforest shamen who drop Datura into their brews actually are. In some sense this is an almost perfect combination for those daring psychonauts who really want to leave their body and go walking in the alternate realities of the void. Through the pharmacological mix of the MAO inhibitor (from the yage vine), the DMT (from the chacruna leaves), and the tropane delirients (from the Datura plant), the user is exposed over the period of a few hours to an experience that starts in the hellish (initial discomfort, purging), moves into the divine (the magical working of the DMT), then explodes into the fully immersive concrete spaces of the waking dreamtime (the anticholinergic boomerang effect). In experiential terms, the thematic arc of this visionary experience could not be programmed better, each new phase of the journey being ushered in by a specific compound acting to "raise the bar" on the immersion level of the visions until they become all consuming. However, in physical terms this is a dicey path to walk, and working with this particular combination takes restraint to keep it from becoming completely overwhelming. This "datura-huasca" combo can be re-created with pharmaceutical sources (as opposed to plant sources), but again, knowing your dosage and knowing the best ways to mix and consume the various drugs are very important here. If done wrong it could lead to severe derangement, convulsions, stroke, and death. If done right it could be one of the most effective ways to engage the elusive "liminal space" we've already discussed in some detail. Again, this combination is not for beginners, and any work with tropane alkaloids and other anticholinergic delirients is done at very real risk to your brain and health.

Lol. It must be a ghost then, because we live on the fourth floor

She does have some weird stories from her past too and sometimes she sees dancing lights, dead people lying on the floor at night, etc etc. Either she's messed up, or she's somehow actually connected with some weird juju.

i dont take any stimulants. im terrified of em. even coffee makes me uncomfortable if i drink alot of it. im just a big believer of the paranormal is all. and what happened last night makes rational sense to me at least.

i want to do a banishing because i know this house is haunted to shit. even my friends get the prescence of another here and they certainly hear things for sure. i dont take the hell/demon stuff lightly at all really. i want nothing to do with that kind of negativity.

which reminds me, i painted a regular.. nauticle star on the floor in another room in the house which is still scaring me just because it has six points  i did it for fun because its glow in the dark paint but its just the fact that i want nothing to do with any of that stuff so it does make me kind of nervous.
