Are you an ATI or an Nvidea?

What cards do you think are superior today in the market?

ATI makes some nice hardware but their drivers suck. theyve gotten better recently but still arent very stable.

NVIDIA all the way.

unless im on a notebook where i dont need much power.. then Intel because they dont suck as much power and i get a longer battery life.

ATI rocks more stream processor units than Nvidea but is usually only 128 or 256-bit interface, versus Nvidea's seemingly standard 448-bit among $300-400 cards.

What are your framerates in the games you play?

I'm on an ATI 4650 right now, and it's too weak for me.

i go with nVidia, because i run linux, and ATI's drivers for linux blow ass. If i was to run windoze, then i don't know which i would go with, probably still nVidia, as if i ran windoze, its only a matter of time before i go to linux again...

i think ATI has the best value cards right now with the 4850's. a year and a half ago, it was nvidia with the 8800. the "best card" changes so often that i don't really bother with brand loyalty...just reviews.

Nvidia, I have a 8800GT when I bought it I think it was about $150, now it's probably a lot cheaper $50-$80 it works great for all my needs.

Ati has given me tons of problems, especially crossfire cards overheating and some strange obscure issues I had to find work-arounds for :mad2:

. I'll never use a crossfire system again, though I do not discredit Ati's drivers altogether. Nvidea has been fine on my laptop, but I've never used a high-end card so the jury is still out.

best hardware in the world can still suck with buggy drivers.

I think the ATI drivers are fine now, I'm a windows guy though.

Never had a problem- although my refresh rate is kinda weird sometimes. I don't know if that's due to a cooling issue. For example, when I'm gaming with TF2- my screen gets "framey" like a line goes from top to down.
