why don't we all try to be a little kinder to info seekers?

there really is only one dumb question. . . and that is the one you were too embarrassed to ask, and thus ate one of the "only edible once" mushrooms.

and btw Danish, i would not eat those until a TI comes by, i am not certain anyone here has id'd those from your pics or your spotty info, i say this not to be a dick, but to give good advice. if they are what you think they are, have a good time.

i would wait for some one listed as a Trusted Identifier to see your pics.

not to slam anyone who has identified em, but i HAVE seen ppl id poisonous ones as good here, until a TI came by and said galerina do not eat no matter what.


it is always worth waiting for the real id...myco toxins are usually "no antidote" kinds of things; total organ destruction and dialysis for life don't sound fun.

i am not a TI, so i speak alone, but there are some basic pieces of info missing from her request, obvious ones like not knowing what gill configurations are, or what bruising is, a species that is not a lawn/septic lover (that i know of), crap pics to boot, plus an irritability factor like a teen age girl (no offense Danish). people take advantage of this site. if i was rude to Danish, i extend my apology, but she can do her part as well, clearly laid out in the 'rules' of this renegade body of information.

well it wasnt a problem anyway because the mushrooms are obviously cyanescens. easy ID even with the webcam pics and lack of detail.

wowitch, my issue was that Danish was getting id's with pretty crap info, noone should get used to that until they 'know' imo. i will leave this alone now.

lol thank you everyone. i have a friend of a friend that can help identify further, he is a "ti" and knows alot. plus he'll see them in person. i just wanted to figure out and gather info before hand and i was anxious. i have to wait til tomorrow for my friends friend.

to masspan. you came off as a jerk and i am not one to allow that type of attitude towards me. i am not some adolescent teenage girl without a clue. i admit, with the way i talk i may come off that way, but i am intelligent and get offended when ppl assume anything about me that isnt true. i appreciate your advise, after i said fuck you.. i guess its just the way you talk. you obviously think highly of yourself. and thats not a bad thing. just easliy confused as a dick.

i will definitely tell all about my experience, i hope to trip hard enough to have another life changing shroom experience. awakening my mind to new things.. :smile:

Those are Psilocybe cyanescens. No need for further identification.

I don't have a "TI" badge but I think I don't need one to properly ID something I've picked for years.

Danish, i am very sure blimeygrimey knows what you have, but i also think he would agree with me in saying, know exactly what it is 'you' are looking for. you are right, i may have come off as a dick before, my apologies. just look/study/know more about that that interests, my only advice.
and blimeygrimey, question, cyans on that substrate? not that nature provides no surprises, but no wood? out of curiosity :smile:

I've picked a few cyans out of lawns in the past. They were always alone, just one, in a large lawn. I dug down into the dirt after picking it and never found any wood. :shrug:


Also, when the hell did I become a TI? :shrug:

I'm not complaining, it's a great honor. Though, it's kind of a surprise since no one told me.

personaly i wouldnt eat them, just wouldnt risk it because they are a tad beyone there time. so even if your lucky you more than likly wont get a trip or body high at all. Your better off getting from a dealer haha. (sounds funny). most dealers i know let you try a sample so you allways come to him. asking wouldnt hurt. but back on topic, i vote! no thie shouldnt eatem them mushrooms'ems they icky!
