a nickel isnt suitable for calibration, it can be a little over or under
5 grams, enough so that if you're buying any sort of quantity you're
getting fucked

A nickel is a horrible thing to calibrate your scale with if you intend to use that scale for research chemicals because only a few mgs will completely change the nature of the drug.  But in this case, where the OP just needed a rough number for the amount of weed he had, a nickel is suitable
