so I have a 4X4 and a tow strap, its snowing, UPDATE w/ pics :) towed lots of people and made some $

so, im pretty much out of work atm...

its snowing out here in the mountains, and i have a 4X4 and a tow strap...

im going to go and try and find some rich ol' folks slid off into the ditch that i can pull out for some extra beer money.

Ive got my camera, so ill put some pics out when i'm done. worse case scenario ill have some sweet mountain snow pics.

Same thing happened to me when I played Neil Armstrong in Moonshot. They found me in an alley in Burbank trying to re-enter the earth's atmosphere in an old refrigerator box.

hey man, its not horrible, its not like he'll charge them an arm and a leg, he wants beer money. People would prolly tip him regardless, he prolly wont even have to ask for money.

No they are gonna have to be towed out somehow a tow company will probably charge them alot more than he would, zippoz we do the same thing at the beach when people get stuck in the snow. What kinda 4x4 do you have?

i think the people would be very glad to see him under those circumstances. think about it, your stuck in the mountains in the snow on the side of a road. Seeing a dude go by on a 4x4 and then have him offer to help me out would be a VERY welcome sight. :lol:

this also, a tow from a company would be much more expensive.

yeah man, i'm broke right now too, so i understand wanting to make some money...

but don't go around telling people you will help them only if they have cash on them.  kinda shitty if you think about it.

when i was younger, my dad and i would go around and pull people out of ditches when we got a snow day.  we never asked for money, it was just fun to get all suited up and go drive around in the new snow.  have fun in your 4x4 and help out people without asking for money.  who knows, maybe they'll pay you anyways or give you herb or something.

What he's proposing is capitalizing off of other peoples misfortune. It's fine if they wanted to give him a little cash for helping them out, but he's explicitly doing this for monetary gain.

ahh, the capitalist debate, i thought this might show up...

allow me to clarify. in the back of any car i drive, and i do drive ALOT, i keep over 150lbs of tools, 3 tool boxes, a floor jack, and a bag full of misc. automotive parts, fluids, hoses, clamps, etc...

And i put them to work, I stop for EVERY broken down car I see, and help everyone I can, and i never ask for a dime. even when my hand was in a cast i still changed 3 tires for people and stopped for many more. People to help me out sometime, and offer a few bucks, and i accept it gratefully. 

as for this towing tonight, i will pull every person in a ditch out that i come across, im in a town of millionaires and im broke, i think that i am providing a decent service, in a timely manner for cheaper than any local business.

That being said, if someone is broke, ill still tow em out just like anyone else!

im waiting a bit so i dont waste too much gas just driving around aimlessly

I have one, but i dont have a mount (or hydraulics, but im going to ghetto rig a elec winch)for it to attach to my 4x4... its a 6.5 foot meyer... from the 70's its retro, but i got it for free on CL (hence the missing parts)
