Oysters and a giant/perfect Macrolepiota!
    #11484883 -

I found these oysters outside the volksholkschule where I attend a Sprachkurs to better my german.

Which inspired me to take the tram and go for a little hike to fill this bag

I think I was successful

And check out this beautiful Macrolepiota! Smells delicious and might just get cooked tonight :yesnod:

I am so envious you don't even know.... I almost want to live out of my car this winter in the PNW just to see a real mushroom season.  The desert has Nothing.

Can I get some batter and fry help? Equal parts beer & flour? Any egg? Dip in batter then in breadcrumbs? I spend a lot of time in the kitchen but the only thing I've battered and fried is fish for tacos (w/ no egg, w/ beer batter described above, and no breadcrumb dip.) Would fresh mushrooms work the same?

yeah beer battering is nice - all the beer from this dish however was separate :drunk:

I just mixed egg flour milk oregano pepper and salt for the batter until it had the right consistency. Then heated up the oil to just below smoking point - dunked the oysters in the batter and then coated them in seasoned flour and into the oil until browned. The oil can be reused afterwards.
