It looks very much like it. It should have reddish tones inside when you split it.
Be careful: Macrolepiota rhacodes var. hortensis is poisonous.

Those look like some nice fresh rachodes specimens to me.

Last time I ate those I really messed them up. They are supposed to be very good...I had to choke down the last bite in an effort of not wasting a supposedly good mushroom.

They certainly look like Lepiota rachodes (=Macrolepiota rachodes).

There are a few things you can verify to make sure they are.

First, the open caps should be at least 3 inches across. This is important - there are some small Lepiota species that are deadly poisonous.

Second, the spore print must be white. The color you're looking for it to not be is a grayish green (Chlorophyllum molybdites). While Chlorophyllum is not lethal, victims of it wish they could die to end the unpleasantness.

Third, cut the cap in half and watch for bruising. In Lepiota brunnea (=Macrolepiota rachodes var. hortensis) the cap flesh will turn brown immediately. In the edible Lepiotas it will first turn yellow, orange, or reddish brown and then may slowly darken to brown. Note that this species is very common in the US Northwest, so be sure to check this feature.

Fourth, be sure there is a thick, movable ring on the stem. Lepiota rings are unusual in that (if you're careful) you can slide them up and down on the stem like a cigar band because they aren't actually attached to the stem. This character will help to make sure you don't have one of the Amanitas which can look like a Lepiota to most people. If you don't know why you shouldn't eat Amanitas then you need to study more before you eat any wild mushrooms.

If you have any doubts, please don't eat them. If you use these things to be careful, you should be able to distinguish between Lepiota rachodes and its many poisonous lookalikes. Be sure you check them all.

Good luck and happy mushrooming!

cap is 4 inches across, this morning the spore print was definetly white, slowly staining a pinkish brownish color, annulus loose. sounds like time for breakfast.
