pics from my first matsutake trip
    #11473891 -

well i finally got my camera back.we took this trip about 2 weeks ago up the Fraser canyon.I have picked thousands of small lbm s so i had a bit of an advantage with my friends. We are quite amatuer at this but to me a big white mushroom is EASY compared to spotting liberty caps ! My friend with the most experience got skunked,i walked out of there with 7 lovely pine mushrooms.I know not much but this area was around comercial grounds and we were lucky to have found anything! our progress up mountain got stopped unfortunatly from rock slides.i am sure we would have found better grounds but thems the breaks.
it was super wet so i didnt pull out the camera as much as i should have, and with those pines,i was always so excited i only remembered to snap one shot of it still in the ground.
there are some other mushrooms i took pics of,feel free to id if you know.
thanks for looking.
and yes i realise i should have left that flag in the ground but i know for next time.
my haul.
it was getting chilly!
damb rock slide!
oh baby, thats what were looking for!
this was my very first pine.a number 2 to boot.
another beauty.
is this the mushroom on the cover of the auborn field guide?
dont know the name of this one.
ghost shroom!
these were bluing!! a gym species or one of those lactarius ive read about?
these are cool.
false morels??
i wish i got a better shot of these wierd blue leaf like fungi.anyone know what these are?

It's just crazy that you would make this thread a few days after I was reading about "Pines"...lol... I was thinking I needed to broaden my horizons!... I'm definitely not qualified for ID's but hopefully some experts will take a shot  ... I wish we had more scenic habitat like that around here... Don't get me wrong, there are lots of great places to hunt, all very beautiful... I think the mountains would be a great experience though!.... Congrats on the score and I'll be checking in to see if anyone has some possible ID's... some of the unknowns are quite interesting looking!
