Another purple species growing alongside the blewits (Mycena pura)

Another species of Clitocybe, there were lots of clits out today

my camera is broken so I've been using my girlfriends, a bit less by way of megapixels but we've been getting along ok.

Cool finds and sweet shots, Beege! Even with a lesser camera, you're still a good photographer. I especially enjoyed the train photos.

I will confess something that should be quite obvious, CC.  I love mushrooms, i.e. fungi.  I really do.  I am talking about a strong feeling, i.e. emotion, for them.  I think they are beautiful.  I even dream of them.

I think this camera is easily as good as the last one.  There are more important things than megapixels...

Nice pictures mate. Especially the Macrolepiota procera one. That could be used as a post-card or a front cover for a book or something. Very professional

Thanks alan- and psilocypher-, I'm really glad I was able to borrow it and I'll take this into consideration with the purchase of my next camera.

Just got back from the 20 year reunion celebration here in Berlin and it was pissing down rain the whole time.. A little glühwein and rum warmed me right up though

Interesting that you mention that. It was really just a big pile of conifer needles under rows and rows of pine trees, so most of my finds were just saprophytic conifer-lovers. I agree, it was a very cool evironment. There aren't a whole lot of natural habitats like that so it gives the fungi a little advantage and benefits the trees as well by breaking down some difficult molecular structures into simple nutrients.

some meaty Laccaria laccata, Armillaria mella, and
Clitocybe nuda - and some interesting polypore
