Willow waste question?(Salix)

Hi i have a ton of old willow branches
And a huge pile of chicken poo/Saw dust/Straw
Can any one recommend any edibles i could attemp
to colnize these resurces?
Or as a gardener what would be the best wood
for me to collect for an edible harvest?
Any help would be apprecated
(also looking for a glove box tec)

For the branches, Agrocybe aegerita, Stropharia rugosoannulata are just two I can think of now.

I think i would like to try Stropharia rugosoannulata
As from what ive read its becoming rare in the uk.
So my next mission is to track down a print :smile:
Also better get building on a glove Box and start
playing with algar.This hobby should keep me
interessed for some time :smile:

Outdoor cultivation of Agrocybe aegerita and Stropharia rugosoannulata?

Same as P. azurescens or P. cyanescens.

Thanks pointed me in the right direction
I think today i will dig a trench 120cm by 60cm and 60cm deep
Then put a 15cm layer of willow shreddings then  place a 60cm
section of Flammulina velutipes infected wood that is growing locally
into it and top fill with twigs branches and a top layer of shreddings.
Sound ok as a start?Then there will be plans for 2 more one for
Stropharia rugosoannulata  and one for P. azurescens :laugh:
But i would be better to not prepare these yet right?as they would become
filled with other local fungus?right?I also have about 4 tons of leaf mulch lol
so maybe mixing some of that in would help them establish.
Btw your bed of P. azurescens do you know what the shrub there under is?

*EDIT  Well maybe 4 trenches lol as i will try to get
to spawn as well :smile: as its growing localy.(Maybe a bit much for some one who has never grown a mushroom yet  :smile: but in one week here my stuff is building up i have just got a micro scope and am building a large glove box"Sub question"what do you think of burning an alchol burner in he glove box to sterilize the air?will most air born contams be sucked in and burnt after a bit?or should i invest in filtration?)

60 cm is too deep i think.

I place my beds directly on flat ground, Stamets mentions something about 20 cm.

Perpare the beds when you have something to spawn them with.

I'd just like to thank you Anno and the shroomery for being the first
site to supply me with a meal  :cool: these Flammulina velutipes
Should make a nice addition to tonights dinner.Also read on one of the links you
provided about co2 making these different,and it was evident by the ones on the road side of the forrest having much darker stems and droopy edges as from the ones i picked and pictures above being a lot more tasty looking :smile:

I have taken prints onto a overhead projector sheet
as i read on one of your replys to some one else.As it
shows the white well,and enables me to play with my new
(Second hand)Micro scope :smile: i was wondering about getting a clone
And have alread placed an infected branch in to a pile of dead wood
and covered with willow chipings.The picture below shows a lot of
mycelium growth on one dead trunk containing Flammulina velutipes
but also had two other species i have yet to id so not picking or cloning from the as seen patch :smile:

Well i ate them and i didnt die :smile: lol
as they were my first wild picked mushrooms
i wasnt 100% sure so i feed some to the girl friend first  :tongue:
No i didnt i ate them first lol and very nice they were too.
