HELP LIFE OR DEATH

a friend from the internet told me his friend ate a mushroom. i was very mad with him. he said it was a red, burgendy gilled mushroom the size of a sand dollar that was growing on a living maple tree. his friend is on the way to the hospitle with pictures of the mushroom. unfortantly i didnt get to see the pictures. any ideas of what it could be?

Its probably not going to be poisonous at least in the kill you sense...May make him sick but I don't think its too much to worry about from the sounds of it.

apperently he already went. the kids a dumb ass, but i feel as if i need to help. i told him about shrooming but not to just go out and eat random mushrooms. and what did he do? he went out and ate random mush. so i feel responcible.

yeah that's true, just making it a drama.
but  mattin should take that guy to the doctors.
there are lethal mushrooms and there is no point taking chances.
