I just returned from my GP to get my seasonal shot, and a bit later I'll be getting my swine shot. "They're OK"

I chose OK because they usually are effective in the population, but could be optimized to be even better.

No thanks, I've never had one, and yet I've only had the Flu one time. Even then it was only because I was working with the Flu campaign getting coughed on all day for months.

I got a flu shot once, I was working in a restaurant and the company made
it mandatory, of course they expected me to pay for it, I opted not to
since it was mandatory, the shot gave me the flu, the doctors said "it's
just flu like symptoms, they go away in about a week", try convincing
customers it's not the flu when you're coughing all over them and their
food, the following years I told the company to fuck themselves, no shot
for me

Have not had one since the age of 16, and have not had the flu since about 14. If you wash your hands and don't smoke bowls with sick people you'll be fine. Everyone who gets the flu needs to wash their hands more. Everyone who gets swine flu needs to stop fucking pigs..

Hey if it aint broken don't fix it. I often get the flu, and sometimes I get EPIC SICK off it (see my "The Flu from Hell" thread).

I don't ever want to go through that again. And, I'm a cardiac patient so, nothanks :smile:


This years flu shot was different. Normally they give it in the shoulder, this time there was a new nurse who insisted this shot could only be given in the erect penis. I was like "but I'm gay" but she said she knew what to do and basically blew me to administer the shot. Its weird how they gave that girl latex gloves but no condoms.
But hey, I got my shot and thats all I care about. You gotta have a little faith in the medical system.

I'll take vaccines for something if I think it's going to be life threatening, but I'd rather get the flu than have that mercury build-up in my body

I've taken flu shots the past couple of years.

I don't think I've ever had the flu, though I get sinus infections and bronchitis all the time.

Just got my flu shot last week but I haven't got the H1N1 shot yet.

I probably won't, though I'm not opposed to getting it.
