#1125589 - 12/09/02 04:23 PM (23 years, 10 months ago)

People,
Has any body ever tried these mushrooms before, I would like to hear some first hand experiences for you guys before I try them. How much should I take for a fairly good trip? Iv only tried Liberty Caps before, and they were lots of fun, very surreal, yet clear.

Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.

It is interesting that onlyone specimen of Psilocybe tampanensis was ever found and that was by steven Pollck so he is considered the father of the species since he developed the strain invitro and cound that it produced sclerotia, or as you refered to it as the "Philosophers stone."

Dr. Pollock also originaly referred to it as Cosmic Camote and advertised it through High Times.

The dosage for this sclerotia is generally 15 fresh grams in Amsterdam sold by Conscious Feams Smart Shop which has six stores in Amsterdam.

Than means you can get one to two people off on an fresh ounce of sclerotia. That is not as potent as it sounds because it is equal to one fresh ounce of P., cubensis or form 3-5 dried grams of P. cubensis. Several specis form sclerotia, among thenotable popular ones used in lab research is P. mexicana, Concybe cyanopus and of course P. tampanensis.

The high is still psilocine/psilocybine so basically there is not much difference int he sclerotia fromthe species.

All of the mroe than 120 smart shops in the netherlands which sell fresh mushrooms and sclerotia use the same sheets when selling their product. These sheets describe in short detail, one persons impressions of the high and the contradictions and efrfects fot he three main products sold in shops in the netherlands which are Psilocybe cubensis (1 fresh ouce), Copelandia cyanescens (7-10 fresh mushrooms) and the sclerotia of who knows what even though they say P. tampanensis onthe sclerotia packageing, several shop owners tod me they also put P. mexicana scleotia in the packaging whent he tampanensis are all sold out.

They contain (15 fresh grams) per package.. The sheets sold with the shroom products are also printed into several languages. The clerks in many of these smart shops have no knowledge of shroooms other than to get high. If you aske them what thehighs are like theyalways quote fromt he paper. Its like going into walgreens or Woolworths or sears and asking a clerk how to program a VHS player and they do not knwo what they are selling to you.

However it is not a burn if you know the osurce of the sclerotia.

if You find some you should post your experience so that other swill remember what you thought about it.

good luck
