when should i start my maryganja?

i have some seeds from some pretty damn good weed claimed to be headband from a few moths ago.  i got like 5 seeds and started the only seed that looked like it might not grow.  to my surprise it grew.  started it late so it only got like 10 inches before it started budding.  i keep that one at my friends house. 


however, this year i want to grow a plant or maybe 2 from my seeds in my yard.  however, it has to be stealthy.  im prolly gonna hide it by some bamboo or maybe some castor bean.  anyway,  i was wondering how late i should start it if i only want it to get like a foot or foot and a half.  i know indica and afganica dont get very tall but i just wanna make sure i dont wanna start it too early and have it get too big and have to harvest early or someything.  thatd be gay.

I grow in my garden from the start of the season, and it's just a small 5m corner garden.

I tie the plant down a few inches off the ground; which strengthens it and keeps it low. Then I hide it with a couple of rows of corn, and finish it off with a row of sunflowers.

If there's any chance someone can see it from above, cover it with shade cloth.

I've got a couple of pictures of my plant this season that's just started. I'll get a couple of better shots for you today and upload them so you can see what I mean.

As you can see I use fishing line and 'bag-tie-things' to tie the plant parallel to the ground. Helps strengthen it for the strong summer winds, and keeps it bellow the height of a small fence, even when budding.

nice.  i already have some pretty thick bamboo that shluld hide it nicely.  or theres a lot of castor bean plants growing wild here.  the leaves kinda look like indica or afganica leaves.  which happens to be what my headband leaves look like! 

i grew a tiny one right under a castor bean plant in a weird pot made of this brown "fluff". idk what else to call it :stoned:

ehneeweigh,  i was thinking about starting it right after christmas or maybe a bit later even.

I'd start it now.

If it's a thick-leafed indica it'll short and dense anyway.

Underneath bamboo is perfect, as it won't die off to the end of summer.
Whatever you hide it with, make sure it won't finish up earlier than your bud; or get something else in and started to cover up after it's dead.
