The Electric Cigarette.
    #11209152 - 10/08/09 06:27 PM (8 years, 12 days ago)

Anyone see any potential problems with using these ?

I got one today and it's alright, actually feels like i'm getting a lung full and it kills the cravings for the most part.

For anyone who doesn't know what they are here's a vid, i have no audio on this PC so sorry if it sucks.

Basically it's supposed to be an healthy alternative..

Wikipedia has me wondering about it tho,,

What do ya think ?

Instead of smoke, the electronic cigarette emits a vapour which does not affect breath or clothes in terms of smell, does not affect teeth and is not proven to be harmful. The no harm part has not been confirmed though, as some educated persons think that studies might show long-run damage potential in the vapour. The electronic cigarette does contain nicotine though. Even so, it allows the user the liberty of being able to choose the level of nicotine he or she wishes to consume. It is in this way that electronic cigarette is said to help smokers to quit.

Thanks.
I'm having regular weed breaks recently and i'm sick of leaning on 100g of tobacco every week.
My intake goes through the roof..

I hope more research goes into this alternative technology, i can't see it being any worse than actual smoking..

I've tried to stub it out 3 times already tho and nearly took a lighter to it once,,..

I picked mine up for £20 which ain't bad at all.

I think the authoritative concerns are just arse coverage over the suppliers selling points.

I've been wanting something like this to come out for ages, if they can make nicotine replacement therapies then why not give us full strength healthier alternatives ?

It's like you either kill yourself smoking or quit, no in between.

A local headshop just started carrying them, so I think I might pick up the kit come payday.

Now, if only I could get away with smoking those on the job/at home/wherever, that would be really cool.

Kinda like that Nicorette Vapour (or something) commercial.

You should be able to use them wherever, they're becoming popular here because of the smoking ban.
I will say the cartridges don't last anything like as long as they say, i go through like 5 a day.
They say 1 cartridge = 20 cigs but i reckon 20's more like 5 of em.

I'm thinking buying the liquid refill is the way to go.

The liquid's only £9.98 and that's supposed to get you 150 refills.
