So I have a phone interview for SSI disability in 15 minutes

This isn't the normal SSDI disability, it's SSI. I haven't worked enough and paid into Social Security enough to receive SSDI benefits yet.

Major Depression / Anxiety with panic attacks.

It went well. A lot smoother than I expected. Hopefully once I get some income and medicaid I'll be able to get my life back on track. The fucking ER bills from the past year alone due to panic attacks were over $4,000. :frown:

What a load off. Now I play the waiting game.

I got IV versed one time, that was incredible. I went from shaking, 240bpm heart rate and blacking out to hitting on the hot nurse in under a minute. :rofl:

Depression and anxiety are the top two medical disabilities that qualify for benefits.

Just because I'm not dying doesn't mean that I'm not medically disabled. I'm not screwing the system. There's a reason why I haven't been able to fucking work in 3 years.

Most of them have started late at night, usually around 3am while I was watching TV trying to go to sleep. They start with a general feeling of uneasyness, kind of like the beginning of an acid or mushroom trip. All the sudden things feel different. It's like, wtf, what's happeneing. Then thoughts start to race, heart rate goes up, breathing gets all wacky.

Most of the time I could control them, but sometimes they just accelerate too fast to get a handle on. I know when to throw in the towel and seek medical intervention when my heart rate goes over 180bpm and my muscles start tightening up from hyperventilating. By then the only hope is to get some sort of benzo in me before something bad happens.

Usually by the time I reach the ER all of my muscles in my fingers, arms and legs are so contracted from hyperventilating that I can't walk at all and can't even sign my name on the release form.
