Lost track.  March 09' was an interesting month, tripped 6 times all trips from the 06-08 hoffs.  I would guess in my life time i have tripped on LSD 15-20 times.

I would put my count at well over fifty approaching a hundred.

Not one ever had anything I would call a taste. Metallic, electric, feelings, but not really a taste.

You can not make your own

5 - meo - amt is NOT just like LSD....it tastes like shit.....takes 2 hours to kick in.....and gives you extreme nausea and the shits, and then is strictly visuals that are more similar to a 2c then LSD.

If it kicks in within 30 minutes it's LSD.

If oyur peak is only lasting 2 hours it is not LSD.

  bullshit dude... It took 5 hours to kick in and then lasted 8. You arent me. I have also had it kick in in 15 minutes....  crush a microdot and snort it.
  And 5meo was closer to LSD feeling then shrooms or mesc. I never tried 2c

LSD should definately not take 5 hours to kick in.

The most plausible situation for this to happen (assuming the drug you took was LSD, which I don't really buy, sorry) is this:

1.) You took a weak dose.
2.) You had a very full stomach and you swallowed the hit without letting it sit in your mouth at all (this could make the comeup around 2+ hours).
3.) You started mildly tripping off the weak hit about 2 and a half hours later. You experienced mild mental effects, but didn't notice them.
4.) You smoked weed which potentiated the LSD and you began to trip about 5 hours after ingestion.

This is implausible because I doubt all these circumstances came together and also because you wouldn't have tripped for another 8 hours off such a weak dose. If the weed was the only reason you started tripping then you should have stopped tripping when the weed wore off. Honestly, I think you got a DOx and took it on a full stomach and therefore didn't start tripping for 5 hours. There is nothing wrong with taking a DOx, its a perfectly legitimate psychedelic drug and nobody will shun you for taking it (not to mention accidentally). You just have to be open minded enough to chalk that experience up to a DOx chem instead of LSD; the name of the drug doesn't change the experience you had  (good or bad) and the details of this one experience doesn't change the many other experiences you probably have with LSD.

dude once it kicked in I tripped face for 8 hours.
  and I dont give a shit what anyone thinks.
  Now find me an RC that kicks in 5 hours later and lasts 8 hours and feels just like LSD then I would think yeah maybe it was an RC.
  The thing was my friends took hits off the same page and only mine took 5 hours. They were tripping and I was like WTF????

onset is dependent of your body. and it kicks in differently for everyone, so you can't use that as a reliable factor.

Doc will take up to 3 hours to kick in.......the next two hours you probably didn't notice you were high......then 8 hours later back to baseline........hmmmm......thats 13 hours........and doc lasts 12-16.

  maybe it was due to food in my stomache I dunno.  Some foods take a long time to digest and perhaps the hit could have gotten stuck inside some food.  IS that so impossible??  no

As you can see the come up for LSD does not take 5 hours.  In fact if it takes 5 hours to come up, that is a key characteristic that it is not LSD.

One time it took an entire hour for me to come up on some LSD, and the trip still lasted 12 hours, and the peak was somewhere in the middle and lasted about 4-6 hours. I do not know of any RC that has those qualities. However, I was also rolling on some really good pressed E pills before I took the LSD, so it could be my ignorance in the actual amount of time that went by before I started tripping. I'm not entirely sure, but I recall checking the time on a clock when I first noticed visuals and it took about an hour. Perhaps the MDMA inhibited the LSD for a short period of time before it kicked in. It wasn't a particularly high dose either, I took two hits, it was probably about 200-300mcg.

One time I fell asleep on an acid comeup, and it took way longer for me to feel any effects when I woke up, though my friends who stayed awake were tripping hard. I never got to a good level either, even though I took the same amount as they did.

The first time I ate mushrooms, it literally took 3 hours for any distinct effects to come on. I felt a little funny, and we watched an entire movie. then we went to the park and walked around for a while. THEN I started tripping, and it lasted for a full six hours. This happened on mushrooms once more, a few years later.

No one knows all the factors that affect comeup and duration. It is much more likely that a long lasting psychedelic phenethylamine would take a lot longer to kick in than a tryptamine, but this ISN'T WRITTEN IN STONE.

Same thing happened to me on my first mushroom trip, I think I only tripped for about 2-3 hours though, but it's hard to say. I just didn't feel it for a good 3 hours though, and then bam, outta no where I came up in less than 10 minutes and was tripping nuts. As I recall I came down about 1:30-2 hours later, but like I said, it was awhile back now and who knows how my sense of time was even.

To summarize for the OP:
If it tasted VERY bitter it was most likely not LSD.
If it took significantly longer than 60 minutes to kick in it was most likely not LSD.
If it lasted significantly longer than 12 hours it was most likely not LSD.
If it felt very "dirty" with strong headaches/cramps/dry heaving it was most likely not LSD (least reliable criterion).

None of these are 100% foolproof but you should be able to get a pretty good picture by observing these simple traits.
And pls everyone stop talking about that Black light nonsense, just for your information, normal paper glows blue when held under black light.
On another note from my personal experience RCs on blotter arent as common as people make them out to be, if there is no strong argument speaking AGAINST LSD (5 hour come up for example) it most probably was Acid.
