Cigar smokers, lend me some advice

I've got myself a Cohiba cigar and intend to smoke it at an event tonight.

However, I have discovered that I have NO IDEA where my v-cut cigar cutter has gone.

Alternatives?

I could always just use the sharp blade of my gerber (pocket tool) but I'd rather not...

Go buy a 2 dollar guillotine cutter.
Not that bad.

Or, if you have a half-ways decent cigar shop, they will cut it for you.
Just remove the band first if you're worried about it being a cuban.

i usually cut a " X" on the end...  i hate gettin grains in my mouth from a cutt tip

Scissors work if you don't mind eating the last 1/2 inch of the thing while you smoke it.

easy. take a sharp knife and just cut the very outer rim of the cap. you're not actually supposed to cut very deeply into the cigar. when i use my guillotine i only take off about 1mm off the cap.

or take the tip of the knife and cut a small hole in the cap, like a punch cutter would.

in a pinch a good sharp knife that isnt going to push against the leaf. if your gerber is that way, its good. the more razor sharp, the better.

i think the high end odd cutters are overrated, that and the crazy lighters. just less money to spend on more cigars (or weed, or anything else)

dont worry about gimmicky crap. buy a decent guillotine cutter and if you are truly worried, 2 bucks aint gonna set you back or make you worry if you lose it.
