Atlanta Flooding
    #11101705 -

My school had a foot of water in the first floor of a few buildings today.  My basement is leaking and almost all the roads  around my house are closed.  Its supposed to rain for another week too.  I've lived here 23 years and never seen anything like it.

I miss georgia and its torrential rains, makes me homesick.

That is kind of odd for the atlanta area, but down south it was fairly common.

the last 5 years, I've missed getting rain, my pond is at half it's volume
and I've had to irrigate the tiny patch of land I'm growing just to keep
viable seeds, now it's been rain daily, it's been raining so much the deer
is camping out in my bedroom again

Sounds nice. It is dry as a bone here; my cacti are becoming dehydrated.

Ha, same here. My crop makes up about the same percentage of my food.
Without irrigation my plants wouldn't make it, so I've been investing in Dozens of Opuntia cacti. Nopales are excellent food; high in nutrition, drought tolerant, flood tolerant, and frost tolerant.
Here the rainy season is during winter, while the summer is completely dry.

My mom called to tell me about that. It's strange that Atlanta is flooding, that pretty much never happens. The only floods I remember were caused by hurricane Opal in 95'.

It didn't get to bad here I'm a little more north of ATL. There were a couple roads closed. I was wondering when someone would post it the news is showing all kinda shit.

Yes I go to KSU.

We had a solid foot of water at least in the first floor of one building.  Only one exit was open, so 10,000 people trying to leave at the same time was chaos.

All the surrounding roads were closed too.  It took me 4 1/2 hours to get home instead of a normal 20 minute drive.

Any other fighting owls here?
